<li>Disconnect Computer from the Internet</li>
<li>Turn off Windows System Restore</li>
<li>Uninstall all unnecessary software using the &#8220;Add Remove Programs&#8221; feature in the Windows &#8220;Control Panel&#8221;</li>
<li>Delete all files in the user Temp directories</li>
<li>Delete Temporary Internet Files</li>
<li>Remove Old Anti-Virus and Ant-Spyware programs</li>
<li>Empty the “Recycle Bin”</li>
<li>Reboot Computer</li>
<li>Reconnect the computer</li>
<li>Download and install <a href="http://www.malwarebytes.org">Malware Bytes</a></li>
<li>Download the newest updates</li>
<li>Disconnect Computer from the Internet</li>
<li>Run Quick Scan</li>
<li>Install Anti-Virus software</li>
<li>Reconnect the computer to the internet just long enough to register anti-virus software  and to download the newest updates</li>
<li>Disconnect computer from the internet</li>
<li>Restart the computer.</li>
<li>After computer restarts close all unnecessary programs.</li>
<li>Start anti-virus program</li>
<li>Run a full scan from the anti-virus software menu.</li>
<li>Delete all threats possible</li>
<li>Quarantine all remaining threats possible</li>
<li>Note any viruses and adware not repaired</li>
<li>Re-start the computer in safe mode</li>
<li>Turn off all running programs except virus protection.</li>
<li>Run AV product and let it remove all pests that it can. Note: Not all anti-virus software can be run in safe mode</li>
<li>Manualy remove any remaining threats</li>
<li>Reboot computer.</li>
<li>Run AV product again to check.</li>
<li>Remove any remaining pests.</li>
<li>Reboot computer.</li>
<li>Plug Internet back into your computer.</li>
<li>Run scan until you get two clean scans!</li>
<li>Launch Internet Explorer</li>
<li>Check IE Search button</li>
